I suppose it’s time to let the blogging community in on my life. As many of you may know, I have had some shortcomings with school (time crunches, loans, my family situation, etc). What you may not know, however, is that God has called me to plant a church in Fredericksburg. I have been contemplating this matter for quite a while now, though the exact number of months escapes me (But I assure you, It’s been a while). The decision to obey was not a hard one. I knew that called has called me to do this, and I will do it.
The dilemma that I have been facing is in regards to school. Should I leave now, and focus totally on my studies, and then plant a church? Or do I remain at home, do a Distance Learning Program, and immerse myself in the church planting life? To make this long, hard story short, I’ve chose the latter. To many things seem right for it to be a mistake, and I even feel good about it in my gut.
So I’ll be here, sun up to sun down, working, learning, growing. The best thing about it? I feel great. I found a peace in obedience. The deliberation wore me out, but responding to God’s call is the best thing for a man’s soul. I know that God will try me. But he will bless me, so long as I am faithful.
So, I added a new category: Church Planting. But not only to my blog, but to my life. Here’s to God!
